Many do not realize that what Russell believed about "Armageddon" was a lot different from that of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Many also do not realize that before 1904, he believed that Armageddon, the time of trouble, had begun in 1874 and that it was to end in 1914, but that he rejected that view in 1904, ten years before October of 1914 had arrived.
