Russell and the True Church
Russell did not believe in starting a new religion or a new church. He did not view the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society or the Bible Students as being a denomination church or a sectarian organization, and thus he never referred to either as being the true church or the true religion. He did speak many times of the "true church," but his viewpoint on this does not designate any denomination, sect, organization, group, or association created by man.
